Mate desktop running OK. NFS shares mounted already at login. A bit of a fiddle to get bluetooth audio working - installed blueman, removed panel applet, $ blueman-tray Used new applet to try to connect. No luck until bluetooth was restarted. Running fine now. vlc OK with sound and video. NFS shares mounted. Everything else seems normal.
