I've downloaded the source, and rebuilt... https://umbrello.kde.org/installation.php https://invent.kde.org/sdk/umbrello Looks it works better... ./umbrello5 -v umbrello 2.37.70 (experimental) (Applications 23.03.70)
Thank you for the report, especially your work to build the newest version.. Cauldron umbrello-22.12.21 To launch from terminal: $ umbrello5 Tried following the instructions: 1. Clicked 'New', it automatically added a 'class diagram' under 'logical view'. 2. Clicked the 'XYZ' icon, clicked the empty class diagram, get a dialogue to 'Enter new text'. 3. Typed a word, it appeared in the diagram. 4. Clicked the arrow 'Select' icon, then the text word which becomes selected. 5. Able to move it without problems. Confirmed correct behaviour by adding another element (a class), which I could select & move OK. In line with the reporter's own update, this looks like a version update for Mageia 8. We have many newer versions than 20.12.0. Assigning to NicolasL who looks after this package.
