Please say what installation source you used (Net or the ISO).
Is this reproduceable with MCC? I am unwilling to try it for fear of messing up a working system for which MCC recognises no bootloader...

Net install

Yes in fact another clean net-install today did not exhibit this, but MCC later did.
I'm not certain that you even need to go via the advanced route to see this, but I always exclude os-prober and don't touch nvram, or any install would replace my master grub2.

See no choice but to pass this to mageiatools, in the hope that they can find some variability in these 'please wait' windows.
