Description of problem: After glib2.0-common-2.74.0 there are issues with timeshift, it will crash during copying backups. Please see the linked upstream report for more details. It should be updated to at least 22.06.6 to fix this issue before Mageia 9 is released. It could also probably be switched to the new upstream https://github.com/linuxmint/timeshift as the one we are using does not get any new releases.
This looks good for you, Joseph.

As I was asked, I have run tests on the new Timeshift on Mageia 9 Alpha (mine is Xfce). I conducted five (5) types of test, using the GUI interface. 1. Created a snapshot successfully. 2. Deleted a snapshot successfully. 3. Restored a snapshot successfully, from within the subject distribution (in the latter stages, this launches a tty-type output screen that ends with a reboot). 4. Restored a snapshot successfully, from an external, other, Linux distribution also using Timeshift v22.11.2 5. Restored a snapshot successfully, from an external, other, Linux distribution to a different root partition, effectively moving it from one drive to another. With the introduction of glib2.0-common-2.74.0, all five (5) of the above tests would fail after 1 to 5 minutes if using a version of Timeshift prior to v22.06.6 so this appears to be a valid working alternative. I saw no need to test this Timeshift from the purely CLI environment, as that was previously immune to the adverse effects of glib2.0-common-2.74.0, it was only the GUI which was compromised. Thank you for allowing me to participate, I am glad to be of service. Wizard Avagudweegend
