Description of problem: I cannot successfully start Football Manager 2014 after installing it in Cauldron. There are many issues, but the most critical error is "(steam:77209): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: 00:06:30.389: g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed" seen when exiting the Steam client. The next issue mentions problem connecting to the X session manager: None of the authentication protocols specified are supported. The second issue seems to be Vulkan missing requested extension 'VK_KHR_surface'. Vulkan missing requested extension 'VK_KHR_xlib_surface' which leads to BInit - Unable to initialize Vulkan! Then after that there's a warning related to GTK saying (steam:77209): Gtk-WARNING **: 23:56:34.621: gtk_disable_setlocale() must be called before gtk_init() Last but not least there's the error ld.so: object '/home/kristoffer/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/gameoverlayrenderer.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32): ignored. It's the same error for ELFCLASS64 as well. This is what I see when trying to start the game using steam steam://rungameid/231670 in console. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.0.0.70 How reproducible: All the time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Steam. 2. Start Steam. 3. Login to Steam. 4. Install Football Manager 2014. 5. Try to run the game. It looks like it's going to start loading, but then the green Play button changes back from the blue button named Cancel/Stop to being green and the game never loads.
