I would recommend, to include power-profiles-daemon in future, however i am unsure if this will come as a dependency of kde or gnome in future anyway. From the Projects description: power-profiles-daemon offers to modify system behaviour based upon user-selected power profiles. There are 3 different power profiles, a "balanced" default mode, a "power-saver" mode, as well as a "performance" mode. The first 2 of those are available on every system. The "performance" mode is only available on select systems and is implemented by different "drivers" based on the system or systems it targets. I could help in packaging/testing if needed. kind regards Tuxinator
Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes. You might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager

Wow, that was fast! Thats one of the reasons why i love mageia since so long time, you guys are fast! It seems that only Kde Plasma beginning from 5.23 has support builtin for power-profiles-daemon, so maybe adding a dependency could make sense? however still it works also without kde plasma, not sure how to handle that case. thx a lot!
dependency now added to powerdevil as it should: https://svnweb.mageia.org/packages?view=revision&revision=1956903 And also for gnome added to gnome-control-center as it should: https://svnweb.mageia.org/packages?view=revision&revision=1956905
Closing as fixed!
