Description of problem: Just by a coincidence as I was trying to build cpanspec locally and browsed for a similar package to check its spec file I saw that our cpan package hasn't been updated since 2014 when Mageia 5 was supported. I therefor ask for a update for this package. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.590.200
Here's the link to the cpan package in the svn: https://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/cpan/
It is not outdated. It is obsoleted and was shipped the last time with Mageia 4. INVALID.
Resolution: (none) => INVALIDStatus: NEW => RESOLVED
Well, shouldn't it be removed from Cauldron then?
Created attachment 13660 [details] no cpan in cauldron There is no cpan package in cauldron. See screenshot of actual mirror of core-release for cauldron. If you had followed the dev-ML you would also have seen that there is no source package for cpan: https://ml.mageia.org/l/arc/dev/2023-01/msg00073.html

That's like saving a car key after getting rid of the car.
Did you actually read the linked thread of the dev-ML? No? "There is no package SRPM in the cauldron release matching the associated .spec file. This may be because the package was imported but never successfully built, or because the package has been obsoleted and removed from the distribution but the .spec file was never moved to packages/obsolete."
