How reproducible:


Steps to Reproduce:
1.  installed latest updates (22-Jan-2023)
2.  touchpad functions erratically to the point of unuseable.
3.  will drop dmesg in ticket

a full shutdown of the machine seems to have resolved this issue.

My apologies all.
