Updated and rebooted without issues.
Mate desktop running OK. 
NFS shares, desktop applications, bluetooth audio connection to portable speaker reestablished. 
VirtualBox launches mageia client - NFS shares accessible in vbox and desktop applications OK.
Leaving this running overnight.

No issues.  The desktop and server kernels had also been installed.  Removed some stale kernels and reinstalled the bootloader.

Amd Pn51 5700u
Mobo: ASUSTeK model: PN51-E1
8-Core AMD Ryzen 7 5700U
AMD Lucienne driver: amdgpu
Realtek RTL8125 2.5GbE driver: r8169
Intel Wireless 8265 / 8275 driver: iwlwifi

Rebooted to Mate desktop.  Everything works except virtualbox.  Bluetooth audio connected immediately.
There are no virtualbox clients on this machine.  There is an outstanding problem with the vbox installer.  Have tried numerous times to install mga8 classic but it always defaults at the disk formatting stage - Cannot call method "val" on an undefined value.

No regressions anyway.
