Description of problem: Attempting to rip DVD video using k3b immediately advises that *transcode* needs to be installed. enable online repos. urpmi transcode returns: no package named transcode. Duplicate of bug 30871 (yours) and bug 31096 (Bill). Why this should still happen is strange. It looks as if k3b was not corrected. Oh: it was not made clear whether this error actually stops k3b in its tracks, or is cosmetic. https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31096#c1 says "Transcode was removed from SVN 4 months ago, but was never added to task-obsolete-tainted. I have now added it." Assigning this to KDE since this should not be happening; CC'ing Jani who closed the other two.

transcode is dead since more than 13 years. K3B has to not claim it, but this never happened. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=274668
