These are not the same problems: that other bug is all about 'tap-to-click'. Ben is saying his touchpad simply does not work. Ben can you do: $ journalctl -b --no-hostname and look for (/) mouse lines, to see whether there is a clue there. On a laptop, I see 1 mousedev line, and 3 psmouse lines. No mention of touchpad. On that machine I see no mention of [m]ouse in either lspci -v or lsusb -v. Do you have a real mouse to plug in/Bluetooth to see whether that works?

I have just installed kernel-5.10.78-desktop-1.mga8 and rebooted into it. touchpad and buttons work as expected
this kernel: 6.0.7-desktop-1.mga9 (from alpha1 .iso) allows the touchpad and buttons to work correctly. it would appear that a change has occurred between this one and 6.1.1-desktop-4.mga9
