Description of problem: i get an error message from gnome-session-binary : WARNING: Could not parse desktop file xscreensaver.desktop or it references a not found TryExec binary xfce4-session-4.18.0-1.mga9 is installed. I am running gnome on X11. xfce provides xscreensaver.desktop which is used whence a session is started $ rpm -q -f /etc/xdg/autostart/xscreensaver.desktop xfce4-session-4.18.0-1.mga9 screensaver.desktop expects to run xscreensaver $ grep ^Exec= /etc/xdg/autostart/xscreensaver.desktop Exec=xscreensaver -no-splash screensaver may not be installed. $ rpm -q -f /usr/bin/xscreensaver xscreensaver-6.06-1.mga9.tainted

There is 'TryExec=xscreensaver' in the .desktop file so I think missing xscreensaver pkg isn't really a problem. Besides that the msg is only a warning, not an error. According to freedesktop.org's Desktop Entry Specification: https://specifications.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/desktop-entry-spec-latest.html "TryExec Path to an executable file on disk used to determine if the program is actually installed. If the path is not an absolute path, the file is looked up in the $PATH environment variable. If the file is not present or if it is not executable, the entry may be ignored (not be used in menus, for example)."
