Description of problem: I noticed how installing Plasma5 in the Alpha1 version of Mageia 9 doesn't offer any program to take screenshots as standard. Pressing the PrtSc button should offer a Save as window, but it doesn't as no such program to take the screenshot is installed. Adding spectacle as a requirement to task-plasma5-minimal would solve this problem. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 5.26.3 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Plasma5. 2. Login to Plasma. 3. Press the PrtSc button and nothing happens.
It's required by task-plasma5, but not by task-plasma5-minimal. It is present on the Mageia 9 beta live plasma iso. Assigning to the kde maintainers to decide if this is a valid bug or the way it should be.

Created attachment 14156 [details] Proposed changes to task-plasma5 spec I don't know if you are already on this, but here is a proposal, I move spectacle to task-plasma5-minimal and make it a recommend instead of hard require

Comment 3 sounds good to me.

Spectacle is required for the print screen button to work. I would suggest it should be a hard dependency even in the minimal setup.

Not agree, If is a require instead a recommend you can't uninstall spectacle without some "dark" magic ;), I don't use it even in plasma, I was using screengrab and now I'm using shutter

Done! spectacle was moved from task-plasma to task-plasma-minimal and now it is recommended instead of hard required.

Great :) Is this in the Plasma update coming in testing?
Plasma update for mga9 was already validated and pushed, so no for an update for mga9 The fix is only done for Cauldron, there's not really a valid reason for an update in a stable release.
1) this bug have MGA9TOO set. 2) Only 2 of 3 announced parts of Plasma updates have been validated. I do not even see a bug upened for the third part yet. spectacle-23.04.3-1.mga9.x86_64.rpm and a lot of other stuff is in updates_testing. So why not put new task-plasma5 & task-plasma5-minimal now in testing too and include them in the third update part?
I must agree with Morgan we still get reports of new mga8 -> mga9 migrations and clean installations that could benefit of include this in updated task packages
Done in task-plasma5-5.27.10-1.1.mga9 in 9/Core/Updates_testing.

Interesting. Spectacle is installed on this system, but I don't recall needing to install it myself. Then again, that was months ago. Well, no matter. Validating.
