Description Kristoffer Grundström 2022-12-08 03:02:43 CET
Description of problem: I have tried to play a YouTube clip in a freshly installed Alpha1 system, but upon opening the clip and seeing the first image the player seems to get stuck. I'm not using any addons such as ad blockers and this happens in both Firefox and in Chromium Browser Stable.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 102.5.0esr

How reproducible: All the time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download the Netinstall iso for Alpha1
2. Burn the iso to a USB stick using dd.
3. Install MATE and Cinnamon.
4. Login to MATE.
5. Open Firefox.
6. Go to YouTube.
7. Search for any video.
8. Click to play the video.
9. Video gets stuck.

I just reproduced this in Firefox Nightly.
I can try to create a new user to see what happens.
Comment 3 Kristoffer Grundström 2022-12-08 05:53:46 CET
I created a new user and I can still reproduce this issue.

Sites that I've tested to play media on are:

YouTube.
Sveriges Radio Västerbotten (https://www.sr.se/vasterbotten)
TV4 Play (tv4play.se). Note that you need to login to the website to play the various programs)
SVT Play (svtplay.se)

All these websites plays just fine when using Mageia 8 and older.
Comment 6 Kristoffer Grundström 2022-12-08 06:29:15 CET
This seems to be related to my issue with not getting any sound due to the wrong profile settings in PulseAudio. If you change between Analog Stereo Duplex and Analog Stereo Output the clips starts to play and the sound works.

I can't find my other bug about it at the moment.

Should I close this or does any one else experience this issue as well?

This looks like a variant of your earlier Bug 30997.
Cauldron/M9 sound is currently in turmoil, so closing this as a generic duplicate of Bug 31235.
