Description of problem: Gkrellm volume plugin doesn't work. I suspect becouse now there is not a /dev/mixer. Pulseaudio works fine.

On my system I installed the gkrellm-plugins package to check and I do have a /dev/mixer, and the volume plugin is working. Maybe due to the conf: $ /sbin/lsmod | grep mix snd_mixer_oss 22315 2 snd_pcm_oss snd 81589 17 snd_hda_codec_realtek,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec,snd_hwdep,snd_seq_dummy,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq,snd_seq_device,snd_pcm_oss,snd_pcm,snd_timer,snd_mixer_oss I have PulseAudio activated, and use an Intel ICH10 sound card. I don't really think it's linked to gkrelmm but rather to your sound conf.

yes, you are right. # more snd-oss.conf # We need to ensure that no ALSA OSS compatibility modules are loaded so # we can use osspd easily blacklist snd_pcm_oss blacklist snd_mixer_oss blacklist snd_seq_oss but i don't know why. thanks.
Trying to ping 41 bug reports in one move, because nothing has happened with them for more than 3 months, they still have the status NEW or REOPENED, there is no "OK" on the Whiteboard and severity and priority are "normal" or higher. Is this one still valid for Mageia 2 rc? If it is and you're the assignee, please set status to ASSIGNED if you think this bug was assigned correctly.
