Description PC LX 2022-11-16 18:49:44 CET
Description of problem:

This issue caused the installation from the iso to fail.

Installation from the most recent Mageia-9-alpha1-x86_64.iso (Sun Nov 6 06:48:26 PM CET 2022) fails with the error:
"""
file /etc/xdg/autostart/picom.desktop conflicts between attempted installs of picom-conf-0.16.0-4.git20220731.1.mga9.x86_64 and picom-10-1.mga9.x86_64
"""

The installation was done in a QEMU/KVM virtual machine but is probably unrelated to being in a VM.

How reproducible:

Happened the three times I tried to install, from different mirrors.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot a QEMU/KVM virtual machine from the Mageia-9-alpha1-x86_64.iso
2. Select to use full disk.
3. Select a repository mirror.
4. Install.
5. See error message.

Hi,

Yes we saw that issue, should fixed in next picom update:

- picom-10-2.mga9

@PC_LX
Do you know what installation package choice revealed the problem? Since it stops installation, if it was generic, everyone would have hit it.
Presuming fixed, to show up in next ISO builds.
Re-open if it then still happens.

@DavidG
Great to see you here.
