Description Kristoffer Grundström 2022-10-26 20:27:37 CEST
Description of problem: I want to disable the Libreoffice splash screen that appears when you run Libreoffice, but I forgot where the file to edit is located so I ran locate sofficerc and I got the reply pread: Short read (file corrupted?).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.9.0

How reproducible: Everytime.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a fresh Cauldron installation using only MATE as DE.
2. Make sure it's fully updated.
3. Open a terminal.
4. Type locate sofficerc and see the result.

Try (as root) running updatedb. Alternative is to leave the system running
until the timer activates plocate-updatedb.service

Running updatedb && sync as root fixed that issue. I don't know if it lasts forever or until next bootup though.

Closing as invalid. Feel free to reopen if it turns out not to fix the issue.
