The problem is in the Mageia-provided rpm's. Loading the rpm's from the LO-site (after removing the ones from the Mageia ISO) and the report runs OK.

It wants the Apache Commons Logging code. I don't know offhand if we package this and it just needs to be required or if LO is mistakenly being built to need it. Or possibly something in the report you're running needs it.

The same thing happened a few LO versions ago in M8, and it has been cured. But I don't find the bug from that time.
Comment 6 Herman Viaene 2022-10-25 16:37:44 CEST
Sorry, as the version numbers are the same, it is not immediately clear what version I have at hand. So, for the moment everywhere it matters, I'm running the LO-original rpm's, not the ones from Mageia. So up to 7.3.5, this issue is still there.
I am now in the process of installing in M8 the candidate update to LO 7.3.6; I wonder....
Comment 7 Herman Viaene 2022-10-25 17:12:55 CEST
LO 7.3.6.2 works OK, the issue is not reproducable in that version.

Thanks for the report.

Assigning to tv for LibreOffice.

All later versions of LO in the Mageiarepos again have this problem. The latest I checked is the current LO 7.5.0.2 un Mageia9beta.

It was bug 28672 and bug 29556.

Not all of the packages that were patched in Mageia 8 to fix bug 29556 were also patched in cauldron. I have now rectified that. Please retest once the updated packages reach the mirrors.

Updated yesterday evening (CEST+2) my M9 installation and the crash does not occur anymore. The repoprt runs.
But there is a new problem intoduced, see bug 31894.
