5.15.58-desktop-1.mga8 x86_64 10-Core Intel Core i9-7900X NVIDIA GP102 [GeForce GTX 1080 Ti] Desktop running smoothly but virtualbox was a headache. Extension pack installed and VBox guest additions sitting on the virtual optical drive. Finally got it running but the old USB problem resurfaced. USB3.0 enabled. Device filters in place OK but the devices are not accessible from the guest (Mageia). No regressions seen anyway.

Re comment 2; removed the iso from the optical drive. virtualbox-guest-additions already installed on the guest.
Follow on from comment 3: Ran a couple of sessions with a vbox 64-bit guest. Not able to access USB. Tried a day later and virtualbox crashed during boot. Switched off USB support and it launched fine. Checked the system partition - it still has 5GB to spare. I am reluctant to pursue this in the context of this bug because it is unlikely to have any direct relevance to testing the kernel - note that this problem is reported by no other user. Continuing to investigate in private. Will take it to discuss if there is anything useful to report.
VirtualBox guest Linux USB support test OK here; Same host system as Comment 1, booted kernel desktop 5.15.58 Launched an earlier test install Mga8 with xfce-minimal, updated it to to normal updates (incl VB guest additions), reboot of guest. When Xfce comes up, launched terminal, issued journalctl -f In the host I plugged in a USB stick with a ext4 and a FAT32 partition. In the guest window frame, selected to attach the USB, watched in journal as it got recognised, and then xfce opened two file managers for the partitions :)
kernel-desktop-5.15.58 OK in guest system; Short test: USB support: Same test as comment 5, after update to 5.15.58 Firefox playing video; image and sound OK *Not* tested host filesharing, clipboard, ...
