meteo is an applet that displays the weather forecast. Mageia already offers meteo-qt, which is the Qt version. This package is for GTK desktops. Developed with Vala & Gtk, using OpenWeatherMap API (https://openweathermap.org/) OpenMandriva has both meteo and meteo-qt, according to pkgs.org: https://pkgs.org/search/?q=meteo) Thank you.
There is a discussion on the LXDE ML on Sourceforge about the inaccuracy of the LXDE weather plugin. I think meteo might be a good, optional drop-in replacement for it. It may have to be added to LXDE Autostart, once installed. https://sourceforge.net/p/lxde/mailman/lxde-list/?viewmonth=202207
Thank you for the request. Normally we assign new package requests globally, but since this one is for a GTK version of something we already have Qt, and that: meteo-qt-3.2-1.mga9.src.rpm has an active maintainer - Dimitrios - it seems sensible to assign it directly to you. If this displeases, please re-assign it to pkg-bugs.

You're welcome. As was the case with the new version of meteo-qt, if the installable RPM of meteo eventually becomes available, I'll be happy to test it in my Cauldron LXDE vm.
Sorry i cannot plan this and i don't know if i will be able to do it

Once it will be ported upstream to libsoup3 API instead of the deprecated lisoup2 we can import this package, but no for now: https://gitlab.com/bitseater/meteo/-/issues/170
