The "drakrpm-update" program crashed. Is this bug a duplicate of (or duplicated by): bug 21898, bug 22387, bug 22868, bug 24262, bug 25522 ? If so, please close those that are duplicates.
This made me look at all these & similar bugs, conclusions: 1) drakrpm-updatr crash, NOT the 'looping' issue. bug 18127 (2016) Cauldron bug 21898 (2017) Cauldron bug 22387 (2018) Mageia 6, closed OLD bug 22868 (2018) Cauldron bug 24262 (2019) Cauldron I am tempted to reduce these to just one, marking the others as duplicates. The preponderance of Cauldron is significant. 2) mgapplett-update-checker|drakrpm-update, looping on dependencies bug 22042 (2017) Cauldron m-u-c, many duplicates, all but 1 Cauldron bug 25522 (2019) Cauldron d-u bug 30153 (2022) Cauldron d-u I am tempted to reduce these to just one, marking the others as duplicates. The preponderance of Cauldron is significant. Maybe we can close them all (see below). @Pat Updates while Cauldron is active are always liable to fail, but eventually succeed once Cauldron is calm again. This is a risk of using Cauldron, not an intrinsic error. If the problem you report has disappeared, can we close this?

Tempting to close this one too because of the nature of development this is expected to hit sometimes, as Lewis explain in comment 2. - But for the same reason it is good to have this open, to collect duplicates to, and having the explanation here :) __Adding to Comment 2: A failed update in cauldron will not always sort itself out without manual help - i.e remove some package. It may also be needing cache cleaning or change of downloader to work. https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_8_Errata#Downloading_software
