Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Siril 1.01 How reproducible: Install Siril from the repositories and open a image. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Siril 2. Open a image and go to photometric color calibration 3. Search any nebula.
Created attachment 13289 [details] Photometric color calibration bug This screenshot show the photometric color calibration window, and Siril console window. In console show the bug to search M16 Nebula for example.
I can't reproduce the issue. Search returns: NED - MESSIER Q16 Simbad - Star Queen
Hi, what desktop environment using you? I have Mageia Plasma x86–64, a clean installation, and new config folder of Siril. And this issue appears in two different PCs.
Well done Jani for being able to try this. I got nowhere. @Jose Your 'steps to reproduce' are too vague for anyone unfamiliar with this software, which seems to be astronomy oriented. Given all the tabs and other buttons, please give exact intructions to clarify: "Open a image" : any digital image? If not, please explain. "Go to photometric color calibration": I looked in vain. Where/how? "search any nebula": Where/how? "in Siril console": OK, click the 'console' tab to see it!

(In reply to Jose Manuel López from comment #3) > Hi, what desktop environment using you? > > I have Mageia Plasma x86–64, a clean installation, and new config folder of > Siril. > > And this issue appears in two different PCs. I'm using Xfce. I can reproduce the issue with Mga8 Plasma installed to VB. Looks like gvfs-udisks2-volume-monitor.service user service needs to be running to have working internet access with siril. I'll try to build siril with libcurl support to see if it would work without gvfs services.

Please test siril-1.0.1-1.1.mga8 from core/updates_testing. New rel also disables the upstream version check.

Ok, Ok, I have tested this version, and now works fine! Thanks!
@QA I think comment 7 suffices for a [64-bit?] OK; no stranger will know how to test this. @Jani Thanks & well done again for a quick & effective fix. Please post an advisory.

Please, can we upload this fix to update in stable repositories? I think that this bug is fixed and It can closed.
MGA8-64 Plasma on Lenovo B50 in Dutch No installation issues. Despite my own notes in bug 30299 and the guidance in https://siril.org/tutorials/first-steps/, I'm getting nowhere. All I get is "script failed". It is unclear to me which files should be located where, using one of the example files I pointed to in bug 30299.

This seems to have a very steep learning curve. Lewis "got nowhere" and so did Herman. It needs someone who has already navigated that curve to give a good test, and that appears to be Jose. I approved the last update based on Jose's test and Herman's clean install. Doing the same this time... Validating.

Can anyone confirm this update doesn't cause problems for users who were previously using gvfs?
