Description of problem: file a bug using the simple form. You got the URL-box that is useless in most cases, but it doesn't offer to directly add an attachment. switch to expert mode URL-box is hidden in the advanced fields, but it offers to add an attachment right away.
This is on purpose, to offer a "simple" form.
which of the two is on purpose, not being able to add an attachment? Sorry to say, but this is not end-user friendly. From my experience from the OOo project, many people find it very confusing not being able to add an attachment right away, like they can with their email-client for example. But your choice. But the point is also about the URL-entry field - so is that also on purpose?
Mageia Bugzilla will be upgraded to version 4.0.x soon. Let's wait and see whether any of this works different, then :)

@ LpSolit Re-assigning to you without checking whether this is still an issue (I do almost always use the expert form), because you'll know without checking :-)

The "simple" form didn't change since this bug has been filed. And besides this reporter, I heard no other complains about this form.

(In reply to Marja van Waes from comment #6) > So, close as WONTFIX? Yes, and we will see if we want a different "simple" form after Mageia upgrades to Bugzilla 5.0.

Everyone has a different opinion on which fields are the most important. Speaking for myself, who files the most bugs here, the simple form as is is almost perfect. I almost always use the URL field. Speaking also as a bugsquad member, URLs are a lot more common than initial attachments. Objectively I would think that attachments would be a more advanced thing anyway. The only addition to the simple form that would help me is the whiteboard, but that is only for adding the TOO things to indicate that multiple versions are affected. Apparently we will be able to mark a bug as affecting multiple versions initially in a future Bugzilla. From the perspective of the OOo project, obviously initial attachments are a lot more common as people want to attach documents/files that demonstrate issues, but Mageia is a different use case.
