I have two USB-connected printers. One is an HP 3030 multifaction which has been working with MGA since forever. The other is an Epson R220 which has also been working since forever. In a current cauldron install, I can define each of these successfully, but after I define the HP as lp0 if I right-click on it in s-c-p the option to make it the default is greyed out (screenshot will be attached). If I then define the Epson as lp1, and right-click on that, the option to make it default is *not* greyed out. In addition, even though the lp0 shows as enabled and sharable, attempts to print from a different machine hang in that machine's print queue as "processing" and never complete.
Created attachment 13238 [details] screenshot of lp0 right-click I can't envision any reason why "set as default" would be greyed out.

Still happening in cauldron.
Still happening in cauldron. I tried deleting the printer and defining it purely in cups, but I get similar errors to bug#27830. Methinks cups and s-c-p need some love.
Still happening in cauldron even with samba urpme'd from both systems. The login prompt specifically mentions MYGROUP which is the samba default.
