And as discussed, it's fixed by installing the main samba package, so either task-gnome-minimal needs to require samba, or the lib files in the samba package need to be split off into a new package that is then required by task-gnome-minimal.

I'd say some new samba libs/modules/whatever were mistakenly added to samba pkg instead of 'main' lib pkg when 4.16.0 was pkg'ed. https://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/samba/current/SPECS/samba.spec?r1=1793669&r2=1855361 If files are moved to lib pkg the problem should be solved.
