This kernel is working fine with a MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 motherboard and an Intel i7-12700 Alder Lake CPU. Note that I had to update the BIOS to ver. 1.30 (release date: 18.03.2022), because the machine was unable to reboot with an older BIOS.

Foolishness, my Dell Inspiron 5100, P4, Radeon RV200 graphics, ath3k wifi, 32-bit Xfce system, with kernel-desktop and kernel-desktop586 installed. No installation issues with either kernel. booted into each kernel in turn, with no apparent issues other than Bug 30332. But, that issue existed before the update, and also exists with kernel 5.15.35, so I suspect it is something other than the kernel that is involved.
AMD Phenom II X4 910, AMD HD 8490 graphics, ath9k and rtl8192eu wifi, 64-bit Plasma system. The rtl8192eu driver failed to build, and tries to build again on every boot. No other installation issues, and no other issues noted after the reboot.
