Description Kristoffer Grundström 2022-04-22 17:08:29 CEST
Description of problem: I noticed how thunderbird fails to build using the spec file from Cauldron due to icu-i18n being to old. I therefor ask for a backport from Cauldron to Mageia 8 so that Thunderbird can be built.

Here's the build error:

0:21.92 checking for icu-i18n >= 69.1... no
 0:21.92 ERROR: Package dependency requirement 'icu-i18n >= 69.1' could not be satisfied.
 0:21.92 ERROR: Package 'icu-i18n' has version '68.2', required version is '>= 69.1'
Error running mach:

    ['build']

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 91.7.0

How reproducible: One time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download the spec file for Thunderbird from Cauldron.
2. Install dependencies by doing urpmi thunderbird.spec --auto
3. Put the files from the Cauldron src.rpm into ~/rpmbuild/SOURCES/
4. Run rpmbuild -ba thunderbird.spec and you'll get this error.

No.

Thunderbird builds just fine with proper deps for Mageia 8
