Description of problem: Kdenlive 20.12 in Mageia 8 is a bit outdated. For example, audio noise reduction is available in more recent version and not old one. According to https://funix.org/fr/linux/index.php?ref=montage#KDEenlive, it is possible to compile Kdenlive 21.12 on Mageia 8. Backporting it could be a good idea. It will keep people that don't need new functionality safe if they have not activated backport repositories. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): I think the following mageia 8 packages needs to have a backported version : kdenlive-20.12.0-4.mga8 mlt-kdenlive-6.24.0-2.mga8 mlt-6.24.0-2.mga8 frei0r-1.7.0-3.mga8
Thank you for the suggestion. kdenlive-20.12.0-4.mga8 mlt-kdenlive-6.24.0-2.mga8 mlt-6.24.0-2.mga8 frei0r-1.7.0-3.mga8 We recently have release 21.12.3 in Cauldron (following 21.12.0 & 21.12.2 earlier). Assigning this to neoclust who normally looks after kdenlive (although buchan & ghibo did the most recent updates).

(In reply to Nicolas Lécureuil from comment #2) > can we wait for kdenline 22.04 ? No problem. If Mageia 8 has the minimum requirement for kdenlive 22.04.
