Description Derek Jennings 2011-10-12 10:55:22 CEST
Description of problem:
Current Cauldron and Mageia 1 contain util-linux-ng-2.18

At 2.19 the fstrim command was included which is useful for the efficient operation of SSD's. fstrim allows for periodic TRIMming of SSD file systems to allow efficient usage of unused blocks. The alternative to using fstrim is the 'discard' option in ext4 which according to some is less efficient and not available on Motherboards without ahci support.

There is util-linux 2.20 in cauldron, is this bug still valid ?
