mga8, x64 : kernel linus 5.15.31-1.mga8, Mate desktop Smooth update. Switched from the nvidia proprietary driver to Xorg X11 nouveau and rebooted. $ glmark2 OpenGL Information GL_VENDOR: nouveau GL_RENDERER: NV124 GL_VERSION: 4.3 (Compatibility Profile) Mesa 21.3.8 glmark2 Score: 1068 With the nvidia driver the score is usually 13000+. Ran `bounce` at the same time. Other demos worked fine; reflect, glxgears, glsync, glxdemo, trifog, morph3d. vlc worked perfectly for HD TV fullscreen on a 4K monitor. Impressive, smooth, no tearing or artefacts. It looks good so far. Leaving it to run.

Resuming from comment 2: Checked a few other graphical applications; mplayer, dragonplayer, totem, ristretto, gwenview, eom, darktable, gimp, ImageMagick, nemo. No obvious problems.
MGA8-64 Plasma on Lenovo B50 in Dutch, Intel graphics No installation issues. Rebooted after installation, n obvious problems wit graphical contents, run glmark2 and get a score of 920, which is in line with previous experiences. Good enough for me.

MGA8-32 Xfce on Foolishness, my Dell Inspiron 5100, P4,Radeon RV200 graphics. No installation issues. Rebooted, played video with Parole, ran Firefox, loaded a photo into Gimp. Could not run Glmark2 as the GPU is too old, but everything it can run looks normal.

MGA8-64 Plasma on a AMD Phenom II X4 910, AMD HD 8490 graphics (radeon driver), ath9k wifi. No installation issues. Rebooted, ran Glmark2 and got a score of 1096, typical of this hardware. Tried vlc, Firefox, no issues noted. Looks good on this hardware.
MGA8-64 Plasma on a Dell Dimension e520, Core2Quad Q6600, AMD HD 8570 graphics (amdgpu driver), rtl8192cu wifi. No installation issues. No issues noted after the reboot, glmark2 score is 1386, normal for this system. I'm going to send this on. Validating.
