scummvm was provided in 2010.1 PLF, so we bring it as an update. To ensure a test is easily possible, beneath-a-steel-sky package should be installed.

beneath-a-steel-sky is not packaged for Mageia 1. Running urpmq --whatrequires-recursive scummvm Shows nothing at the moment actually uses scummvm so testing this could be difficult.
I take that back, it is actually very easy. Downloaded the floppy version of beneath a steel sky from here http://www.scummvm.org/downloads/ Unzipped into a directory then started scummvm and pointed it at the directory. Works fine i586. It does require a number of libraries from core/release which will need to be checked against PLF dependencies for any new ones being introduced.
It appears scummvm-1.3.1-1mdv2010.2.i586.rpm is in Mandriva contrib-backports which is newer than the scummvm-1.2.0-1.1.mga1 which dates back to December 2010. Do you wish to begin with a newer build?
Brings back memories! :-) Testing complete on i586 for srpms scummvm-1.2.0-1.1.mga1.src.rpm beneath-a-steel-sky-1.2-2.1.mga1.nonfree.src.rpm assuming it's chosen to stick with this version.

(In reply to comment #3) > Do you wish to begin with a newer build? No, 1.2 is well tested it makes more sense as an update, the 1.3 version may end in backports if they open.
(In reply to comment #1) > beneath-a-steel-sky is not packaged for Mageia 1. > It is in nonfree/updates_testing.
Both tested OK x86_64, validating the update. Advisory: ------------------ This update adds scummvm and the game beneath-a-steel-sky which were present in Mandriva 2010 but missing from Mageia 1. ------------------ SRPM's scummvm-1.2.0-1.1.mga1.src.rpm beneath-a-steel-sky-1.2-2.1.mga1.nonfree.src.rpm Could sysadmin please push scummvm from core/updates_testing to core/updates and beneath-a-steel-sky from nonfree/updates_testing to nonfree/updates Thankyou!

Agree with the validation. For bug 2317, I took my minimal install (base + lxde), and installed beneath-a-steel-sky. The folllowing packages were pulled in ... It will only impact people updating from Mandriva where one of the packages listed above was blocked during the upgrade to Mageia, due to a version specific requires. "urpmq --requires-recursive beneath-a-steel-sky" does not show any version specific requires, so I don't think there will be any problem. If some other Mandriva package, that is not in Mageia 1 does have version specific requires on one of the above packages, the required package will still be blocked, until the requiring package is made available in Mageia 1. Based on this, I don't think any packages will have to be linked for bug 2317.
