The 1.1.1 LTS branch is still supported until Sep 2023. 

What are the advantages of openssl 3.0 in Mageia 8?

Thanks. It still doesn't answer my question, but ok.

We have openssl-3.0.0-2 in cauldron for the next Mageia release which should be ready way before Sep 2023.

Nope, we wont push openssl 3 in mga8 as there are a "gazillion" packages and features that can/will break.
