Description of problem:
When opening telegram links, then kde does not know what the protocol is. If you add it manually, then it quietly opens everything.

Sounds like that Telegram (external app) is not able to properly assign a mime type. What can we as Mageia do in this case?

It's actualy an upstream bug from KDE and Telegram

The telegram download script is not responsible for creating a proper protocoll association. It only downloads Telegram and starts its own installer.

So this bug is either invalid or upstream.

I checked, the telegram links open in the gnome. Mime types are set correctly.

Thank you Nikolay for trying another desktop, that is a real help.

Assigning this to the KDE group, even though they can do nothing until upstream fixes it.

I have now been unsubscribed from altlinux, there is no bug in the plasma version 5.23.5.

This bug is marked as fixed by KDE for KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5
Need info of the status for mageia 8 that have version 5.20.4 but with some revisions
For mageia 9 must be fixed because we have version 5.27.5
