You could have added this to the already existing bug #29885

Yes lets continue in that bug.

First it need be decided if we want that jump on mga8.
Are we sure there are no regression?  I.e dropped support for anything?
Motivate!

Second, if decided it should first go to updates *testing*.

Or as backport.

Are you yet training to be a real packager?
