Using Filezilla under M8 on an Arabic installation of Plasma the listing of files and folders locally and on remote site does not render. Attaching a screenshot of two instances of Filezilla connected to the same server. One launched from konsole setting LC_ALL=C, where as the other one is launched normally.

Thank you for the report, and the screenshot which says it all. Do you know whether Filezilla did have Arabic in the past? Is it possible that Filezilla has no Arabic translations? If so, it should surely display another language at least. BTAIM Assigning this to DavidG, who mostly deals with this package. CC'ing neoclust who sometimes does and may be able to help sort this.

Yes it did. I always used it in Arabic as well. As a matter of fact the log window (textarea) works fine as you can see in the screenshot.
Is "/usr/share/locale/ar/LC_MESSAGES/filezilla.mo" installed on your system?
And this is more an upstream issue, is a bug report create directly upstream?
