Using http://mirrors.kernel.org/mageia/distrib/cauldron/x86_64/install/images/Mageia-Cauldron-netinstall-x86_64.iso fails to download stage 2. Running "ping 8.8.8.8" works, but not "ping google.com" -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 116391936 Jan 7 08:49 Mageia-Cauldron-netinstall-nonfree-x86_64.iso sha sum verified iso after copying to the usb stick using isodumper. /etc/resolv.conf looks correct with the cauldron netinstall, but dns is not working. Using -rw-r--r-- 1 dave dave 125829120 Feb 18 2021 Mageia-8-netinstall-nonfree-x86_64.iso with exactly the same settings works for installing cauldron.
Dows this one work ? https://tmb.nu/Mageia/Cauldron/bugs/29859/
Yes, that one works, though this bug is about the nonfree. Sorry about the wrong link in the description. The file names/dates in the description are correct.
Yeah, but the *nonfree* part does not matter in this case, as it only adds nonfree firmwares to the build, the other bits are the same... @Thierry, this is a fallout of re-adding nfs support

Strange the ISO I built locally works fine. I'll compare the libs with the ones in the all.rdz from BS. Maybe as the env is less rich, more restricted on the BS, it misses some libraries
Can you provide me with non working boot.iso? I fail to reproduce this even with images locally built with iurt.

It now works fine. A subsequent improvement would be to use wireless tools for set up wireless. I think there was an open bug about that at some point for some missing feature
