Description episteme promeneur 2011-10-08 16:28:07 CEST
Steps to Reproduce:

install a mageia 1 on a pc with an ethernet adapter and a wlan adapter
then
an ethernet connexion is created and works well at the first connexion.
an uncomplete wlan connexion is created

you see wlan0 in "net center" and that's all
you don't see wlan0 in net applet or in "delete a connexion"

in the net center in the wlan adapter part the wlan list is empty.
when you ask for a refresh of the list the list stays empty.

then
i create a new connexion
the tool installs the firmware of the pci adapter linksys WMP600N
then
i select the wlan to use
then
i terminate the process with the last steps.
then
i test the wlan connexion. all is good

so the right part of the bug is just: "you see wlan0 in "draknetcenter" and the part is empty. "

or we can just remove the wlan0 part in draknetcenter

Component: Installer => RPM Packages
Summary: wifi bad default installation => draknetcenter should ask of install driver instead of show empty part
Source RPM: (none) => drakx-net

Pinging, because nothing has happened with this report for more than 3 months, it still has the status NEW or REOPENED.

@ Blino

Please set status to ASSIGNED if you think this bug was assigned correctly. If for work flow reasons you can't do that, then please put OK on the whiteboard instead. Don't change anything if you want to be pinged by me in this report again ;)

@ blino

This bug was against Mga 1 and not against Cauldron, but episteme was the only one who reported it here. He closed it as fixed, I'm changing the version to cauldron now, instead of reopening, but feel free to reopen and set version to Mga 1 again.

Version: 1 => Cauldron
