Description of problem: If the /boot filesystem is XFS then a recent update to grub2 will prevent it from booting (or installing correctly) giving "attempt to read or write outside of partition" errors. Thank you for the report, and RedHat reference. Which says: - Fault introduced by 2.06-2.fc34 - Works by regressing to 2.06~rc1-3.fc34 - Hoped for fix in 2.06-9.fc36 [feedback awaited] How our current 2.06-1.1 relates is unclear. Note that the attached error output sample is 32-bit, the related RH bug is for x86. Assigning this to tv, who maintains grub2.
