Intel i5-2500, 16GB RAM, Intel graphics, 64-bit Plasma system. This desktop has an Intel DQ67SW motherboard with two usb 3.0 ports. However, the controller chip is NEC rather than Intel, so I don't know how valid checks of the fix to xhci would be. It is normally used with a wired Internet connection, but is also set up to use an rtl8192eu usb dongle to connect, if desired. The following 8 packages are going to be installed: - cpupower-5.15.6-2.mga8.x86_64 - kernel-server-5.15.6-2.mga8-1-1.mga8.x86_64 - kernel-server-devel-5.15.6-2.mga8-1-1.mga8.x86_64 - kernel-server-devel-latest-5.15.6-2.mga8.x86_64 - kernel-server-latest-5.15.6-2.mga8.x86_64 - kernel-userspace-headers-5.15.6-2.mga8.x86_64 - virtualbox-kernel-5.15.6-server-2.mga8-6.1.30-1.2.mga8.x86_64 - virtualbox-kernel-server-latest-6.1.30-1.2.mga8.x86_64 No installation issues. The rtl8192eu driver module was built successfully, and I am using it now to write this report. Firefox works, as does dolphin, vlc, and kwrite. There is a 4-port usb 3.1 hub connected to one of the motherboard's usb 3.0 ports. In turn, and together, I connected a usb 3.0 external hard drive, and two usb 2.0 devices, a card reader and a flash drive, to the hub. All were recognized by the device notifier, and were accessible by dolphin. I could copy files from one to the other successfully. In addition, VirtualBox is installed on this system, and there is a MGA8-64 Plasma guest with usb 3,0 activated. I believe that Vbox simulates an Intel usb 3.0 controller chip unless specifically told otherwise, but I could be wrong about that. VirtualBox runs the guest before updating it with no regressions. I updated the guest's kernel, with no installation issues there, either. After the reboot, the guest was also able to access the devices connected to the hub, singly or all at the same time. Vlc played a video on one of the devices. Looks OK on this hardware, and in VirtualBox.
Installed the latest edition, all packages except virtualbox. Booted 5.15.6-desktop-2.mga8 10-Core Intel Core i9-7900X GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Mate desktop behaving normally. LAN services OK. Video and sound OK over bluetooth (which worked immediately without configuration).
