Description of problem: I am running Mageia Cauldron (x86-64) on my desktop PC with the Cinnamon environment. There is a persistent bug with the Nemo file manager, when I have multiple Nemo windows open, closing one will cause all the others to close at the same time. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): The current kernel is 5.15.1-desktop-1.mga9, with Cinnamon (cinnamon-5.0.6-2.mga9) environment but this has been happening on all previous kernels and versions of as well as long as I can remember. The bugs appears exclusive to Cauldron, as it is not observed on stable Mageia 8 (with cinnamon). It also appears to be independent of hardware, as I also experienced it on a previous desktop computer. How reproducible: It occurs almost all the time, and only with Nemo. Trying the same thing with Nautilus or Thunar (still in the Cinnamon environment) does not reproduce this bug. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open two or more Nemo Windows 2. Click on the "Close" icon on the upper right of any of the open window 3. Watch all of them close simultaneously, even those on the other workspaces Note: Doing "Ctrl+W" or clicking File > Close does not reproduce the bug.
Some applications (e. g. xsane) open multiple windows and will close all of them if you close the main window, but not one of the subsidiary windows. Is that your case or do all windows close when you close any of the windows ?

It is the latter case. I open each individual Nemo window one by one and would normally be supposed to close them one by one, as it should be. The issue now is that whichever window I close, it closes all the others, and this quickly gets annoying. I'm trying to get myself used to do Ctrl+W instead, to go around that bug.
Assigning to the registered maintainer. @ Régis I assume you use nemo-5.0.5-1.mga9, is that correct?

Yes, that is correct. I realize that I had omitted to specify the version of Nemo in my original post.
Just to keep things up to date, today there has been an update for the Cinnamon environment. My system is now running the following: - kernel 5.15.4-desktop-1.mga9 - cinnamon-5.0.6-2.mga9 - nemo-5.2.0-1.mga9 And the issue is still there.
