I tried this new version with the kernel 5.14.14-desktop-1.mga8. The afs module compiles without trouble with dkms, and the module is loaded correctly. With this new version the accesses to afs servers are working normally, and I can read and write remote files. The accesses seem a bit slow but this may due to my computer itself. Thanks for your help !

AMD Phenom II X4, 64-bit Plasma system. Updated this system to proposed kernel 5.14.17, then installed the openafs-1.9.0-1.1 packages. Rebooted, then I used qarepo to get the openafs-1.9.1-1 packages. No installation issues, and it appeared that the kernel module was successfully rebuilt. Another reboot, and I tried the same commands I used in Bug 29399. The openafs-client service opened, but openafs-server did not. Now, as then, it appears that my lack of knowledge is the stumbling block to success. Accepting Comment 2, and my clean install, as sufficient tests. Sending it on. Validating.
