Description Thierry Vignaud 2021-11-01 03:08:05 CET
Hi
While routinely testing latest URPM/urpmi on mga[1-9], I find out that we now have only bogus mirror for mga[1-6] as t/superuser--mirrorlist.t now fails:
http://matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=urpmi%20v8.126.1

Because it cannot download the pkgs to test.
Because:

$ curl http://mirrors.mageia.org/api/mageia.3.x86_64.list?reason=upgrade
continent=SA,zone=BR,country=BR,city=Brasilia,latitude=-15.7631,longitude=-47.8697,version=3,arch=x86_64,type=distrib,url=http://mageia.fis.unb.br/distrib/3/x86_64

$ curl http://mageia.fis.unb.br/distrib/3/x86_64
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html><head>
<title>301 Moved Permanently</title>
</head><body>
<h1>Moved Permanently</h1>
<p>The document has moved <a href="https://ifserv.fis.unb.br/error/HTTP_BAD_REQUEST.html.var">here</a>.</p>
</body></html>

Which obviously doesn't work…

Please remove this bogus mirrors from mga[1-6]
Replace it by at least https://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/pub/linux/Mageia-archive/distrib/X/
eg: https://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/pub/linux/Mageia-archive/distrib/3/ for mga3
So that urpmi testsuite still works smoothly

It would be nice to check out if more mirrors also mirror Mageia-archive/ in order not to overload distrib-coffee.
Though I would basically be the only user when testing a new urpmi release so I don't think distrib-coffee will mind the occasional short network usage for 2 small pkgs :-)

Thanks
