Description of problem: When I click on a link in an e-mail on Kmail, the whole system freezes, and I need to do a hard reboot.


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):20.12.0


How reproducible: Sometimes happens


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Double click on an email entry to open the email exhibition window.
2. Click on a link in the email.
3. System freezes!

As you use Kmail I assume you are using Plasma?

Which web browser is your default?

My default browser is Firefox. I had the same problem some days ago opening Firefox from Latte-dock, so I think Firefox is the problem. I would rather close this report and open other with Firefox implicated.

You could see if it helps for a while to set i.e chromium as the default browser and see if there is a difference.

Anyhow system should not freeze...

Problem caused by legacy /home directory.

Status: UNCONFIRMED => RESOLVED
Resolution: (none) => FIXED
