Just a remainder to rebuild nVidia (and perhaps others) binary driver. Trying tp update to new x11-server: # urpmi --auto-update ... The following package has to be removed for others to be upgraded: x11-driver-video-nvidia-current-470.74-1.mga9.nonfree.x86_64 (due to unsatisfied xserver-abi(videodrv) < 25) (y/N) n # urpmi --auto-update --keep ... A requested package cannot be installed: x11-server-common-21.0.99.901-2.mga9.x86_64 (in order to keep x11-driver-video-nvidia-current-470.74-1.mga9.nonfree.x86_64)
Hm, I dont think nVidia have updated their driver the new abi yet, but I guess I can push it to testing and we'll see how / if it works...
I've submitted nvidia-current-470.74-2.mga9 to nonfree updates_testing with updated abi version... As I dont have nVidia hw anymore, I cant test if it actually works, so YMMV.... If it breaks, you get to keep the pieces :)
Actually, we might be lucky for once... The 470.74 README.txt lists support for xorg 21.1
So if it works for you, I will move it to release
Working fine on my home box, GL included. Another box at works seems to be working also, can't access the box right now but GDM seems running ang XOrg log is OK.
Great. pushed as nvidia-current-470.74-3.mga9 to release
