Description of problem:
Just after installation of Mageia 8 on EEEPC, the first boot doesn't finish, even in recovery mode.
I get every second:
ieee80211 phy0:rt2x801 ib_request_firmware: Error - Failed to load firmware file 'rt2860.bin'
rt2860pci 000:01:00,0: Direct firmware load for rt2860.bin failed with error -2

I can get a console (I think, messages are coming always)

The file is in the package ralink-firmware which is in the core nonfree repos

I reinstalled the whole system. Now installation is correct.
I don't know why this wasn't the case at first install.
Thus closing

Resolution: (none) => INVALID
Status: NEW => RESOLVED
