Seems like I had omitted to update Mageia 8's Godot to the 3.3 release. We're now at the third patch release in that branch (3.3.3) and the update is recommended for all users, so let's include it in Mageia 8 too. Advisory: ========= Updated godot packages provide latest stable version This update provides Godot 3.3.3, as the latest stable version of this open source game engine. Godot 3.3 provides a number of important new features and bug fixes, and 3.3.3 is the third patch release with maintenance bugfixes. See the release notes of the successive versions for details. Actually using its features might be a bit beyond the scope of the necessary QA testing, but as I'm upstream maintainer and using this package myself on Cauldron, I'm fairly confident about it :) It's complex software and does have quirks so if you run into issues, be sure to report them, but note that they may not be blockers for a Mageia update (they might be pre-existing issues which are not specific to this update). It would also be good to test the few packaged Godot games and applications that we have to make sure that they seem functional despite the update (especially since they were exported from Godot 3.2, so depending on the features they use, some *might* need to be rebuilt with Godot 3.3). From a quick test they seem to work though: fire-and-fondness fire-and-fondness-2 hijinx pixelorama There's two more packages which use Godot but they are currently broken as they need an old Godot version (Godot 2). That's on my backlog and it's broken both before and after this update, so no change there. (It's `minilens` and `tanks-of-freedom`.)

mga8, x64 Installed all the packages, including the packaged games listed. Ran a similar test to one used before. Started a project, browsed the asset library and installed a couple of addons without problem. Stopped there and saved the "project" in ~/godot/ before exiting. Tested pixelorama briefly as shown elsewhere. Installed hijinx and fire-and-fondness* Tried fire-and-fondness and managed to see Gallant consigned to the flames and to quit the game cleanly. Ditto for fire-and-fondness-2, except the guy got nowhere. hijinx works as far as I tried it. Could not remember all the options but movement and jumping worked OK. Audio was fine as well. Giving this the OK.
