Hi, I have packaged siril 0.99.10 for mga8 from spec of cauldron The new packages versions is here: https://mega.nz/folder/n5MHiQAK#4ymGIetmLNCNdIQRXg6rhg If some packager can check and update in mga8. Greetings!
Summary: Siril new release 0.99.10.1 => Update request Siril new release 0.99.10.1
We currently have 0.99.6 which is a "beta 2 testing of 1.0.0" ! https://siril.org/download/2020-09-22-siril-1-0-0-beta2-testing/ Proposed 0.99.10.1 is (a bugfixed) "fourth beta" according to https://siril.org/download/2021-06-11-siril-0.99.10/ They released RC 2 in December. https://siril.org/download/2021-12-08-siril-1.0.0-rc2/ Short visit to forum, a post mention the development version say RC3 There seem to be no "old stable" - all are just advancing to 1.0.0, and getting better - unless withdrawn as 0.99.10 (without .1) got. So I propose to package the latest they themselves have available on download page (unless information changes).

Hi, I have tried to build Siril 1.0.0 RC2, and: I have modificated the spec of 0.99.8 version of cauldron and I have downloaded the patch for this version from madb.mageia.org I have built the new siril.spec and appears a build bug about opencv4, but I have installed all matters relating to this library. Add the spec file, and the terminal output. If anyone can help me, we can push this to QA to finish validation.

Hi Jose Moving to 1.0.0, the test of the opencv version has changed. It is now "hard coded". There is a need to patch the code to be compliant with MGA package name. I just built and tested, successfully, siril 1.0.0-rc2, using the patch and the spec file I will attach. If I can be of any more help, just let me know. Note: before moving to 1.0.0, you can also build without any issue 0.99.10.1 I will also post the .spec

Hi siril 1.0.0 is now released. Does daviddavid still take care of this package? If not, I can submit it for Cauldron and MGA8. Just let me know.
I don't know, but we should certainly upload it because it brings new features, such as showing the names of the stars and planets in the image, which is very interesting for astrophography. Greetings!

mga8, x86_64 Help with Siril scripts at https://siril.org/tutorials/tuto-scripts/ Installed siril and played with the interface for a while using some JPEG images normally displayed as wallpaper; M31, a dusty star-forming region, and the Tarantula nebula. There are Red, Green, Blue buttons to show greyscale versions of the image for red, green and blue and the RGB button showed the combined components as a colour image. Used the histogram tool to change the balance of RGB and hit Apply. Don't know if that had any effect. No FITS data available. It is not clear how the names of objects would come to be displayed (see comment 16) but my guess is that might be confined to structured data like FITS. Updated the application and played with the same images. After changing the colour balance took a snapshot of one of the fields. Saved as a PNG image but it did not look any different. Not surprising considering user ignorance. Tried an image of M33 with the name heic1901aTriangulum.jpg which file describes as a Photoshop composite of 54 frames of TIFF data. Siril handles that OK. Hoping to test a HEIF format image I tried converting the M33 image with a command cobbled together from notes in the man page for heif-enc without understanding what it all meant. $ heif-enc -L -p x265:ctu=64 -o M33.heif heic1901aTriangulum.jpg "No HEVC encoder available" There must be missing libraries or codecs for this. We shall have to leave it there with a superficial test of the interface. It looks like a highly technical tool so unless there are any experts out there this should be sent on.

Hi, I have used this version frome the first package thanks to Christian. I have used without issues, now various enhancements, as that I can show the astros names, and the rgb curves and other things have improved. Image stacking ok. Greetings for the update!
Right - thanks Jose.
