OK on 64 bit, plasma, i7, GM107 [GeForce GTX 750] using nvidia-current Had it installed now while testing desktop kernels 5.10.55-1 and 5.13.7-1 Including tests of video in firefox, and Windows 7 guest in VirtualBox.

MGA9-64 Plasma on Lenovo B50 (all Intel HW) No installation issues. Rebooted after installation, all went OK. No ill effects on the system.

Not sure what the provenance of those mesademo programs is. /usr/share/mesa-demos contains data objects which look like they would be used by programs but the only sources I can find are on-line and the Makefile gives: LLDLIBS = $(GLUT) -lGLU -lGL -lXmu -lXi -lXext -lX11 -lm so there does not seem to be a connection with the libraries installed in this bug and comment 3 should be disregarded.
