Description of problem: The first creation of root and user password in the classic installer dosn't offer ther possibility to make the passwords visible. This causes the risk that you can't login into any tool which requires root password after the first system start when you have chosen a wrong keyboard layout. (It is possible to put your passwords first into the user name field to see if you have the correct keyboard layout, but this is not the best solution. I had two system installations where i was not able to use any root related tools after first system start, because of messed keyboard layouts whilst installation.) It would be a great enhancement if this possibility would be added to the next Mageia version into the installer.
This step whilst the installation is meant: https://doc.mageia.org/installer/8/en/content/images/dx2-setRootPassword.png
Hi, thanks proposing this change. Unsure if this is feasible but this type of functionality is widely (website,...) and adds user-friendliness. As Installer can't be modified for already released distribution, assigning to Cauldron.
