After digging about squid a bit, I noticed that example configs we provide are relying on obsoleted squidGuard. https://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/squid/current/SOURCES/squid.conf.authenticate?revision=1731224&view=markup#l12 https://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/squid/current/SOURCES/squid.conf.transparent?revision=389214&view=markup#l11 Either drop the examples or fix them to use ufdbguard if possible. ufdbguard replaced squidguard. $ urpmf --obsoletes squidguard ufdbguard:squidguard[< 1.4-22]
Thanks for the information. It looks suitable for dev mailList discussion (if not already done). I notice that you have done loads of commits to squid lately; but Bruno is the registered maintainer, so assigning the bug to him. CC'ing joequant who just did the update to 5.0.6.

I've updated the examples to use ufdbguard in SVN as requested. I have not verified that these example configs work or are any good. I've been using this package for decades and never noticed those files and they look like nobody else has either in a long time. I'm not sure there's any purpose in keeping them, but perhaps someone who has more time to study them can see if they still have any value.
